Concentration

It indicates how much perfume oil is dissolved in the formula. Eau de Parfum is one of the highest concentrations for a fragrance worn every day: it usually begins around 15%, and the richest versions reach 20% and above. Our fragrances all sit at the top of that scale: a full presence and a marine sillage that lasts for hours on the skin, without ever imposing itself. As a rule, the higher the concentration, the more intense and long-lasting the sillage.

The fragrance

Olfactory Notes

A saline, vegetal humidity opens the fragrance, refreshed by the fruity, Mediterranean notes of fig and hyacinth. The heart unfolds slowly, wrapped in an olivewood structure — rooted, earthy, unmistakeably Ligurian. The finale is luminous and vaporous, carried by a musk that dissolves on the skin like morning mist over the creuze after rain.

The greenest fraction of morning: the moisture left on the leaves before the sun dries it. A crystalline, gently watery accord, between stem and wet earth. It brings the first breath of freshness, green and transparent, opening space for everything that follows.

Distilled from the fresh root. A bright, gently spicy note, suspended between citrus and pepper. It ignites the composition from above, giving it lift and a vivid temperature without ever weighing it down.

Extracted from the plant’s small green seeds. Aromatic and balsamic, with a fresh heart recalling eucalyptus and citrus peel. It brings breath and an elegant spice, one that brightens rather than warms.

The milky green of a leaf broken beneath the sun, suspended between unripe fruit and sap. A soft Mediterranean accord, luminous and lightly creamy, that holds freshness and sweetness together.

A molecule that smells of skin and cleanliness, soft and enveloping. It smooths everything around it, extends the trail and lets it fade slowly, like mist lifting from the sea.

A pale, dry wood, almost mineral, with the silvery light of olive leaves. It gives the base a restrained Mediterranean structure: warm without weight, rooted like a tree overlooking the gulf.

MarMar was born from an inheritance: Maria-Cristina’s Mar-Mar perfumery, opened in Genova in 1990, and the memories held by Filippo, her son. A conversation between mother and son: Genova translated into perfume, the sea we carry within us.
